Results
The LIFE ADSORB project explores a number of aspects in order to gain a comprehensive view of stormwater treatment using a reed filter. The results obtained are presented in this section.

The vertical flow reed bed filter
The planted filter consists of two filters. One serves as a reference. The second is used to test a specific adsorbent material for organic and inorganic micropollutants.

European LIFE program
The implementation of European environmental policy is carried out through the LIFE programme, its main instrument for the environment and the protection of nature.

The pollution control device
Based on ecological engineering, the Life Adsorb prototype combines “grey techniques” and “green techniques”. It includes storage of the water to be treated in existing sanitation infrastructures.

Funders of project
The Life Adsorb project is mainly financed by the European Life program over a period of 5 years as well as the Greater Paris metropolis.

Impact studies
The Life Adsorb project is part of an environmental approach, which is why it was chosen to integrate the European Life program. An impact study carried out on the site allowed the project to follow an environmentally friendly approach by fitting harmoniously into the landscape.
